The waiting room of our multidisciplinary program has always been a bustling place for kids and a think tank for parents. With all the exuberant play over the years, it was time to spruce it up. What better way to do this in Alaska than by creating a campground! Our occupational therapist had kids help hang the “tent” and all of us have incorporated some symbolic play with the kids (or just a quiet moment for us adults). I must’ve heard, “Let’s go camping!” at least three times today alone.
About me:
I am a sole proprietor (Pediatric Speech-Language Services) and share an office with a collaborative group (Ability Group), the first multidisciplinary practice in Anchorage, Alaska. I enjoy working with children who have profound speech disorders and those with learning differences.
