The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a cochlear implant processor that features wireless charging.
The RONDO 2, a product of MED-EL USA, is anticipated to be available this fall. After four hours on a charge pad with no wires or cables, the battery provides up to 18 hours of use. The all-in-one, cable-free processor requires nothing behind the ear.
