Form an Ad Hoc Committee on Language Proficiency charged with defining language proficiency; providing recommendations to the ASHA Board of Directors regarding feasibility of establishing a required level of language proficiency for clinical practice in the professions; and identifying mechanisms to assess an applicant’s language proficiency skills, including spoken, written and manually coded language use.
