The ASHA Board of Ethics has found the following speech-language pathologist in violation of the association’s Code of Ethics. The information below includes the version of the Code violated and the sanction, with its effective date.

  • Rationale: Accepted residence with a foster family of a client, accepted a loan while living with and anticipating a client relationship, fabricated fraudulent letters from fictitious individuals that included threats of retaliation to clients and their counsel to coerce continuation of therapy services, testified falsely, and retroactively revoked speech-language pathology license by the North Dakota State Board of Examiners on Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Sanction: Revocation of membership and certification for 12 years, effective Oct. 30, 2017.
