The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) has expanded globally by acquiring Spanish organizations CLAVE (Caring for Hearing Impairment) and its associated Fundación Oír Es Clave (Hearing is Key Foundation).
The launch of Alexander Graham Bell International (AG Bell International) in Madrid, Spain, is the first expansion of the 126-year-old nonprofit organization, which advocates for those with hearing loss and the professionals who serve them and serves as a resource for families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
AG Bell International will continue the work of the United Kingdom-based CLAVE, which provides training and programs for hearing and speech professionals under agreements with Spanish institutions and universities, raises awareness of hearing loss, and promotes measures to improve accessibility for those with hearing loss.
