Do you have colleagues who should be acknowledged for their contributions to communication sciences and disorders (CSD)? Nominate them for 2018 ASHA awards by March 16, 2018.
Recipients will be recognized at an awards ceremony at the 2018 ASHA Convention, scheduled for Nov. 15–17 in Boston.
Nominations will be accepted for the following:
Honors of the Association recognize a lifetime of innovative clinical practice, insightful and rigorous research, creative administration, effective legislative activity, outstanding teaching, professional excellence in a single area, or other distinguished professional contributions.
Fellowship of the Association recognizes outstanding contributions to the professions that are seen as significant within and beyond one’s community or state.
Certificate of Recognition for Special Contributions in Multicultural Affairs recognizes distinguished achievement and contributions in multicultural professional education, multicultural research, and/or clinical service to multicultural populations.
Outstanding Service Award recognizes service by an individual or group on behalf of or for ASHA in two of three areas: administration, program development and service to members.
Certificate of Recognition for Special Contributions in Higher Education recognizes achievement and/or contributions to classroom teaching, clinical teaching, student mentoring, or development of innovative educational techniques and technologies.
Distinguished Service Award recognizes significant contributions in consumer advocacy, government affairs, public awareness, research or service by someone who is not a member of ASHA or another CSD organization.
Dorothy Dreyer Award for Volunteerism acknowledges extraordinary efforts by a member who volunteers time and other resources to ASHA.
Early Career Contributions in Research Award acknowledges scientific accomplishments in CSD by researchers in the early stages of their careers.
Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions in International Achievement recognizes distinguished achievements and significant contributions in CSD—international education, publications, research, program development, administration or service delivery—by ASHA members or nonmembers that have international impact.
Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions in Preschool–Grade 12 Education Settings recognizes innovative therapeutic and/or service delivery models, materials and products; research or publications; administration; or advocacy and outreach by school-based members.
