Going to the ASHA Convention? Did you remember to purchase your ticket to the ASHFoundation fundraiser at L.A.’s historic Belasco Theater?
On its opening night, Nov. 11, 1926, the Belasco Theater featured the play “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”—the first of many to grace the stage with stars like Humphrey Bogart and Helen Hayes. Many movies have been filmed since then at the Belasco Theater, including “Swordfish” with John Travolta, “Memoirs of a Geisha,” and “The Illusionist” with Edward Norton.
Now 91 years later, on Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m., you can be part of another enjoyable “big picture” event as ASHFoundation partygoers raise funds to support innovators who are bringing new ideas and solutions forward to help people with communication disorders. The historic theater is a unique gem whose restored architecture will make you feel as if you truly are part of something special.
Take center stage with us and purchase your tickets now ($100) on the Convention registration form or by calling 877-585-6005.
On Friday, Nov. 10, the Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles—another iconic location for past celebrations of Hollywood luminaries—will be the setting for the ASHFoundation’s annual Founders Breakfast, beginning at 6:45 a.m.
The ASHFoundation will roll out a red carpet featuring awards, funding and surprises as supporters celebrate innovation and achievement. The breakfast is a pre-purchase, ticketed-only event for donors at the Founders level ($100) and above who received pre-event invitations. No tickets are sold onsite. It’s never too late to become a donor—call 301-296-8704 for more information or donate online at www.ashfoundation.org.
Be sure to stop by the ASHFoundation’s booth in the Exhibit Hall (booth #329), too. Drop in your free ticket for giveaway baskets, have your picture taken on the red carpet with our special celebrities, walk away with your own Oscar award and enjoy some popcorn.
