Ten faculty members have received 2017 Advancing Academic Research Careers (AARC) awards, and 14 students have received 2016 Students Preparing for Academic Research Careers (SPARC) awards.
The AARC program is designed to support the development of the academic and research programs of new faculty. The recipients are Rebecca Affoo, Central Michigan University; Rebecca Alper, Temple University; Christopher Bolinger, Texas Woman’s University; Michael Boyle, Montclair State University; Erin Bush, University of Wyoming; Alison Hendricks, University of South Carolina; Ramesh Kaipa, Oklahoma State University; Kelly Knollman-Porter, Miami University; Samantha Shune, University of Oregon; and Casey Taliancich-Klinger, Our Lady of the Lake University.
The SPARC program aims to cultivate student interest in doctoral-level faculty-research careers.
