Receptions
First-Timers’ Welcome
Wednesday, Nov. 8, 5–6:30 p.m.Location to be announced
Is this your first ASHA Convention experience? Come to this popular gathering to meet other first-timers and to preview programs and activities slated for the next three days. You’ll have an opportunity to meet ASHA President Gail Richard and Convention Co-Chairs Mary Casper and Anita Vereb, as well as other ASHA representatives. Enjoy light refreshments.
Welcome Reception
Thursday, Nov. 9, 5–6:30 p.m.Los Angeles Convention Center, Exhibit Hall
After the opening session and a full day of continuing education, meet up with friends and colleagues at the Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall—a dedicated time to check out and mingle with exhibitors. Socialize and network while enjoying light snacks and a cash bar before you head to the twilight sessions. This reception is open to all fully registered attendees; guest tickets are available for friends and family.
Open Houses

Friday night is an evening of celebration, as a number of universities and affiliated organizations host open houses following the Awards Ceremony.
Closing Party
Saturday, Nov. 11, 6:30–9:30 p.m.
Come to a surprise studio set for Saturday night’s Closing Party. Have a movie-star experience while you nibble on tasty bites and sip cool drinks from “craft services” while socializing with friends on set. Tickets are available for purchase through registration.

Political Action Committee (PAC) Reception (ASHA members only)

This annual event benefits ASHA-PAC, which serves as the political voice of the audiology and speech-language pathology professions on Capitol Hill. A suggested donation of $50 to ASHA-PAC secures your reception ticket.
ASHFoundation Fundraiser
Thursday, Nov. 9, 7:30–9:30 p.m.Belasco Theatre
Come out on Thursday evening for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation’s fun-filled annual gala to raise funds. Purchase your ticket through registration.
