The ASHA Board of Directors recently voted to:
  • Rescind six audiology policy documents: Role of Audiologists in Vestibular and Balance Rehabilitation (position statement, technical report, guidelines); Guidelines for Audiologic Screening; Balance System Assessment; and Audiologic Screening.

  • Revise the composition of the Academic Affairs Board, Committee on Leadership Cultivation, Financial Planning Board, Government Relations and Public Policy Board, and the Multicultural Issues Board to include NSSLHA Executive Council member(s) as a nonvoting member(s).

  • Appoint Rindy Ito to the Audiology Advisory Council and Karen Bryant to the Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Council.

  • Revise the Committee on Honors’ standard operating procedures.

  • Contribute to the ASHFoundation, conditional upon ASHA’s 2016 operations net income.

  • Approve the waiver of ASHA Convention registration for Board of Directors members, effective in 2019.

  • Support the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) Framework.
