A free online resource details the whys and hows of Medicare enrollment for university clinics.
Under federal law, any clinic, office or private practice that provides outpatient services to Medicare-eligible patients must enroll in and bill Medicare for covered services provided to Medicare beneficiaries.
ASHA’s new guide includes information on setting rates, complying with Medicare requirements, enrolling in Medicare and achieving compliance. It includes links to resources on reimbursement and billing, supervision requirements, therapy caps, enrollment instructions, and more.
