ASHA’s Special Interest Group (SIG) coordinating committees are responsible for leading the activities of the SIGs. Committee members (except the appointed editor and professional development manager) are elected by a plurality vote of ASHA members, including doctoral students, in the respective SIG.
Online voting to fill upcoming vacancies opened in May. Survey & Ballot Systems is administering the elections; to make sure you receive election-related emails, add noreply@directvote.net as an approved email sender to your contact list.
The SIGs holding elections are 1, Language Learning and Education; 4, Fluency and Fluency Disorders; 6, Hearing and Hearing Disorders: Research and Diagnostics; 7, Aural Rehabilitation and Its Instrumentation; 9, Hearing and Hearing Disorders in Childhood; 10, Issues in Higher Education; 11, Administration and Supervision; 13, Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (Dysphagia); 15, Gerontology; 16, School-Based Issues; 18, Telepractice; and 19, Speech Science.
