Master’s in speech-language pathology programs
About a third (33 percent) of speech-language pathology master’s programs identified “insufficient clinical placements” as a moderate (17 percent) or major (15 percent) factor affecting enrollment. Twenty-seven percent of programs further identified “insufficient student funding” as a moderate (21 percent) or major (6 percent) factor. Twenty-seven percent of programs also identified “competing demands on faculty time” as a moderate (19 percent) or major (8 percent) factor.

AuD programs
Nearly half (40 percent) of AuD programs identified “insufficient student funding” as a moderate (24 percent) or major (16 percent) factor affecting enrollment. Twenty-two percent of programs further identified “insufficient clinical placements” as a moderate (16 percent) or major (6 percent) factor.
