Thank you for the April 5, 2011, issue of ASHA Leader Live on school-based practice. It was the best issue I have ever read. I appreciate school-based information. I am forwarding the article “Special Education Eligibility: When Is a Speech-Language Impairment Also a Disability?” to my director of student services and fellow SLPs in my district. The issue of students attending private therapy in the medical setting and parents feeling entitled to automatically receive services in the school setting has been a major problem this school year.
