The Institute of Education Sciences announces two fiscal year 2015 competitions for grants to support special education research and training through the National Center for Special Education Research.
IES will accept applications for the special education research competition that address one of 11 topics: autism spectrum disorders; cognition and student learning in special education; early intervention and early learning in special education; families of children with disabilities; mathematics and science education; professional development for teachers and related services providers; reading, writing and language development; social and behavioral outcomes to support learning; special education policy, finance and systems; technology for special education; and transition outcomes for secondary students with disabilities.
Applications for the special education research training competition must address early career development and mentoring in special education research.
Applications are due Aug. 7. For more information, visit bit.ly/speced-grants.
