Applications are due June 1 for ASHA’s Audiology/Hearing Science Research Travel Award, now in its seventh year. The awards provide ASHA convention registration and a $500 travel stipend to 20 emerging scientists and audiology students interested in a research career.
At the 2014 convention, scheduled for Nov. 20–22 in Orlando, ARTA awardees will learn about the latest clinical and basic science research in audiology, connect with peers and leaders in the field, learn about research funding opportunities and strategies, and attend convention activities.
Applicants may not have previously received this award and at time of application must be enrolled in one of the following:
  • Clinical doctoral degree program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Research doctoral degree program in audiology or hearing science.

  • Combined clinical doctoral/research doctoral degree program in audiology or hearing science in which the clinical doctorate is CAA-accredited.

  • Postdoctoral fellowship program in audiology or hearing science.
