After four years of undergraduate studies and then two more years of graduate studies, SLP “Katie” swore she didn’t want to complete her clinical fellowship year in a school. In her blog, “SLP_Echo” she writes, “I just spent those last six straight years working and learning all the medical jargon, neuroanatomy and dysphagia techniques. I wasn’t about to step aside and work in a school. Ha! I was above that. I have a master’s degree. Knight me now.”
