Dysphagia Services in Private Practice
At the Dysphagia Café blog, guest writer Cyndee Williams Bowen— owner and founder of Bowen Speech-Language Therapy, LLC, in Clearwater, Fla.—reflects on providing dysphagia services as a private practice speech-language pathologist. For Bowen, a huge advantage of private practice is “the power to define productivity for the practice” in ways that benefit clients as well as the business. “While researching and brainstorming the best treatment to help improve patient quality of life in a particularly challenging case,” Bowen writes, “I know I would not choose to go back to a situation where this time I am spending would be undervalued. I define this as productive time that significantly benefits my patients/clients, and that is the beauty of dysphagia therapy in private practice!” bit.ly/dysphagia-pp
