That's my beagle, Heidi. She came down to the post office with me to drop off a letter containing my clinical fellowship paperwork. I caught her mid-nose lick after she lost a scent trail!
I took this photo after I'd arrived home from the last day of school. I'll admit, I definitely shed a few tears while waving goodbye to our students as they climbed into their busses at the end of the day—a very emotional first-time experience!!
I work for the Kent (Washington) School District, at Covington Elementary. My caseload is around two-thirds preschool and one-third kindergarten through sixth grade. I feel lucky to provide services to such a diverse age group. I love working at this school full time, as I've gotten to know the staff well and I have the opportunity to collaborate and share materials with both general education and special education teachers.
A little about more me: I am from Australia originally, and moved to Mercer Island about 12 years ago with my family. I received both my bachelor's and master's degrees from Washington State University—Go Cougs! I spend my spare time being active with my friends and family. I love to hike, swim, work out and try out new healthy recipes I find online.
